Tommy Hilfiger was born in Elmira in America in 1951. He lived with his eight sisters and brothers in the countryside. His family was very poor and his dream was to be rich and look like a rock star.
His favorite sport is Yoga. When he is on holidays, he likes to dive. He spends much time with his family. He says: „The smile of my children is so wonderful!“
Without a college exam, but with 150 dollars and 20 pairs of bell- bottom jeans, he opened his first own store „People’s Peace“ in Elmira. His fashion colours are red, white and blue, because of the American flag, and not for fashinon reasons.
Now he has collections for men, women and children, sportswear, socks, jeans, sleep wear and, and, and...but he has also sunglasses, handbags, frangrances, watches and more accessories. His annual income is about 360 million dollars.
Tommy Hilfiger was honored in 1993 with the Disigner of the Year Award, and in 1995 he was named „From the Catwalk to the Sidewalk“. Then he got several FiFi Awards, the fragrance industry’s most illustriours honor. Today, his dream to be rich and look like a rock-star has come true...
