Mother Theresa

Mother Theresa was born on the 26th April 1910. Her parents gave her the name Agnes Gontha Bojaxhiu. They lived in Skopje. Agnes lived in a rich family and they were catholic.
At the the age of 18 she decided to be a nun. At first she had to introduce herself in Paris and then she went to Ireland to learn the language. The time in Ireland was very hard, because she was alone and she couldn't speak English. She learned English very quickly, so that she could soon go to India. Now she was only a novice. After some time Agnes became a nun and got the name "Sister Theresa".
She was a teacher for history and geography in a nunnery. Behind the nunnerywall they didn't know the misery of the street. But once she went out with the other students. Thery saw all the misery and they were shocked. So Sister Theresa went every day to the poor and to the ill people and she helped them. She felt that she should give her life to the poor people. But she had promised that she would always stay in the nunnery. After a very long time the Pope allowed her to go to the slums. Sister Theresa changed her nunnery dress into a sari. A sari is the dress of the women in India. Now she lived by the poor people in the slums.
The team of Mother Theresa grew more and more. She was like a mother to all people. And so all people said her "Mother Theresa".
Mother Theresa and her team built many houses of death and leprosy-stations in all India. She erected the Mission of Charity. 1979 she got the "Nobel Price for Peace."

I wrote about Mother Theresa because I find she was a very wonderful woman. In the numery she had a very good life, all was clean, she had always food and money. But she changed her life for the poor people and she didn't have any more food.
