He was born oon the 10th May in Mönchengladbach (Germany). At the moment he lives in Monaco but he would like to live in Hinwil. His weight is only 59kg and he is 1m 64cm tall. The name of the father is Wolfgang Heidfeld and the name of the mother Angela Heidfeld . He has two brothers: Tim (26) and Sven (21). Nick Heidfeld likes sport. He speaks English and German and a little bit French.

His first race was in 1984. 1994 in the Formula Ford he won the first race that he drove in the Formula Ford. 1997 he first drove in a formula 1 racing car. He drove in the McLaren Mercedes as a test driver. He was very good.
In the season 2000 he was a race driver for Prost-Peugeot. But the car was terrible. In this car he never got points.

2001 he drove for Sauber-Petronas and he still is very good too: his best place was the 3rd in Malaysia and at the moment he is the 6th best pilot of the Formula 1.
